Typing on a keyboard can be a struggle that lasts at least a year for some people when they buy their first computer. Fortunately, there are all sorts of learning applications out there, designed to help anyone get accustomed to a keyboard. A good example is Klavaro, which comes with a few simple and easy-to-follow lessons and exercises. Just follow its instructions and practice every day, and you will master the keyboard in no time.

Klavaro is distributed as a freeware application, for all modern Windows versions, as well as other operating systems. Downloading and installing the software is a simple operation, which shouldn't take more than a minute to complete, even on older PCs. Furthermore, you don't have to install any special tools or drivers, and you don't have to sacrifice too many resources to run the software.

When launched, Klavaro will present a series of options on its main panel, for different typing lessons. You start by reading a guide on how to place your hands on the keyboard and how to position your fingers. Once you've learned the basics, you can start with simple exercises that involve typing two letters continuously, in different orders, and continue to adaptability, speed and fluidity exercises when you feel you're ready.

Regardless of what exercise you opt for, the software will first display an introduction, after which you will have to type a random text, which will appear in the same place. The software highlights the text automatically as you copy it, using different colors for correctly copied letters and mistakes. You may also enable beeps if you feel it can help.

When you finish an exercise, the application will display a series of statistics, which include your typing speed and accuracy, as well as a suggestion on what to do next. Klavaro will either recommend to continue that particular exercise or advance to the next one. If you take your time and exercise daily, you will get used to your keyboard and start typing faster and faster in no time. The best part is that Klavaro provides support for numerous languages, as well as several keyboards, besides qwerty.

Practicing your keystrokes to master the keyboard can go much smoother and faster if you decide to give Klavaro a try.

Pros

The software comes with straight-to-the-point lessons on typing on a keyboard. It provides several exercises, for dexterity, speed and flow. You can have it up and running in no time, and run it without sacrificing a significant amount of resources.

Cons

There are no serious drawbacks to mention.
